As a loyal Tim Hortons customer and proud Canadian, I felt as though it were my civic duty to trek all the way across the street to the closest Timmies and taste-test their newest limited-time offer: TimBiebs.
In case you’ve been living under a rock (or don’t live in Canada), Justin Bieber and Tim Hortons partnered on three new TimBits flavors and TimBiebs merchandise. The little balls of joy debuted in Tim’s across Canada on Monday, November 29th.
The flavors: Birthday Cake Waffle, Sour Cream Chocolate Chip, and Chocolate White Fudge
Birthday Cake Waffle
Description: Birthday cake TimBit topped with a maple-cinnamon glaze and chunks of icing.
Review: This one was my favourite. Although quite sweet and filling, the glaze on top has a nice cinnamon hint to it and the bit of crunch brings the whole thing together nicely. Well done, Justin. I foresee more of these being purchased in my future trips to Tim’s.
Sour Cream Chocolate Chip
Description: Sour Cream Glazed TimBit sprinkled with chocolate chips
Review: In a normal box of TimBits, Sour Cream Glazed is by far my favourite. Unfortunately as you can see below though, there weren’t any chocolate chips on this one. I even checked the bottom of the box and there wasn’t a single stray chip. There was one more of its kind, but it somehow disappeared before I was able to get a picture. All in all, despite having my favourite bit as the base, this one came in third for me and was the only one that I felt wasn’t an improvement on the original flavor it was based on.
Chocolate White Fudge
Description: Chocolate TimBit covered in bits of white chocolate fudge
Review: Better than expected. Typically I’m not a big chocoate TimBit guy, but the little chunks of heaven on top were a perfect addition to what will hopefully become a permanent item at Tim’s.
Tim Hortons and Justin Bieber also collaberated on three items that customers can purchase for $30 each. A tote bag, a toque, and a fanny pack.
