After taking a week off from prognosticating… We’re back, baby!
In hindsight that was as good a week as any to take a break; the 3M leaderboard on Sunday was completely unpredictable. And that’s golf, it will happen sometimes (this spiel has nothing to do with the fact I went 0-3 in match-ups in my last event). That being said, the big boys are back in Memphis this week and we’re in for yet another great weekend of golf. Whether or not people still tune into golf with everything else in the sports world ramping up this weekend remains to be seen, but a good leaderboard would go a long way to ensuring that. And as is expected with a World Golf Championships event, especially in a shortened season, the field is chalk full of top-notch golfers. All eight of the top-ranked players in the world are in the field, as are 45 of the top 50.
As for the course, you may remember this one from hosting the FedEx St. Jude Classic for years before FedEx got the green light to make this a WGC event before last years playing.
Oh, and in case you needed a reminder; the PGA Championship is NEXT WEEK! So giddy up, things are about to get really good not only in the golf world but the sports world in general.

(A collection of data used to predict the most likely outcomes for each weeks event)

1 – Jon Rahm (+1000)
2 – Justin Thomas (+1200)
3 – Patrick Cantlay (+2000)
4 – Rory McIlroy (+1100)
T5 – Tony Finau (+3300)
T5 – Viktor Hovland (+3000)
