It’s not every day you play a course where you see multiple families of bears, but that’s exactly what happened at Seguin Valley.

Located in the Muskokas, Seguin Valley does an incredible job of combining the natural elements of the area with unique hole designs, elevation changes, forced carries, and a premium on placing your shots in the right areas. I happened to play on an overcast, slightly rainy day, which can put a hinder on the experience at most places. But at Seguin Valley it just highlighted the lush green grass and feeling of being amongst nature. This may be a slightly less well known course compared to some of the other tracks in the area, but its definitely a bit of a hidden gem. If you’re in the area, add this to your list of places to check out. A driving range and bigger practice area would bump things up a notch, but the large, cottagey clubhouse, the natural beauty, and the unique layout of the course provide an excellent experience for anyone; ranging from the weekend hacker to the every day golf nut.
