Course: TPC Southwind
Location: Memphis, Tennessee
Length: 7,244 yards
Par: 70
Field: 63 Players
Cut:  None
Top-10 in World Rankings: Brooks Koepka (1st), Dustin Johnson (2nd), Rory McIlroy (3rd), Justin Rose (4th), Bryson DeChambeau (7th), Jon Rahm (8th), Justin Thomas (9th), Patrick Cantlay (10th)
Defending Champion: Justin Thomas (On a different course)
Other: After hosting a regular PGA Tour event in Memphis for years with the FedEx branding, it does make a lot of sense the PGA Tour would do them the favour of granting the area a WGC event. So here we are. So long Firestone in Ohio, hello TPC Southwind. In taking over the spot previously held by the RBC Canadian Open on the calendar, this week has been reinvigorated. Eight of the top ten players in the world are on site to tee it up and with the event having no cut and a shortened field, even the player who finishes dead last will earn over $50,000. Not bad for four days work. Justin Thomas technically comes in as the defending champion and will look to retain his crown, however Dustin Johnson was the last man to win on this course; emerging victorious from last years FedEx St. Jude Classic. Just a reminder that there is NO cut this week.
