Sliding into the slot the week before The Masters isn’t necessarily the best spot to be in and the field this week reflects that. That being said, the Tour has done it’s best to set up the course as best they can to prepare the field for the years first major next week.
I don’t have a ton of history to pull from in regards to memories of this tournament or course. It is probably best remembered however, as the course Kevin Na hacked his way through the trees en route to a 16 on the par-4 ninth hole back in 2011.
Andrew Landry won his first PGA Tour event here last year, and will be back to defend his title. Those in the field who have yet to qualify for next weeks Masters can do so with a win here in San Antonio.
Course: TPC San Antonio (AT&T Oaks), 7,435 yards, par 72
Field Highlights: Rickie Fowler, Tony Finau, Matt Kuchar, Jordan Spieth
